About the Award

The N. A. Chowdhury Award stands as a testament to dedication, perseverance, and excellence. It draws inspiration from the illustrious career of N. A. Chowdhury, the principal beneficiary of LSLIT, a decorated police officer and freedom fighter of Bangladesh. Serving with distinction, he retired as the Additional Inspector General of Police. Throughout his tenure, he held notable positions, including the Director General of Immigration and Passport, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police at Police Headquarters, Rajshahi & Barisal Division and Additional Police Commission of Khulna Metropolitan Police in Bangladesh. He also serves as one of the pioneering Rectors of the Police Staff College in Bangladesh. His accolades further shone when he became the first officer from the Bangladesh Police to achieve the prestigious NDC Award from the National Defence College, Bangladesh. This scholarship, resonating with his exemplary path and service to the nation, aims to instil a similar spirit of relentless pursuit of knowledge and commitment in our students. Through the N. A. Scholarship Details

The N. A. Chowdhury Award is bifurcated into two significant scholarships:

1. 100% Scholarship: This award will cover the entire tuition fee of a single course, allowing the recipient to delve into the curriculum without any financial burden.
2. 50% Scholarship: Aimed at providing substantial financial relief, this scholarship grants a 50% waiver on the tuition fee of one chosen course.

Application Process

1. Documentation: Prepare a comprehensive application form detailing your academic achievements and extracurricular endeavours. Alongside this, attach a CV, ensuring it does not exceed two pages.
2. Submission: Email your completed application and CV to scholarship@lslit.com.
3. Selection Criteria: Our esteemed board of selectors will evaluate applications based on academic performance and extracurricular achievements. It's not just about the grades; we're keen to support those who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a drive to impact the world.

Terms & Conditions

1. A student can redeem the scholarship for one course only. Whether you're awarded a full or partial scholarship, the benefit applies to one course of your choice.
2. Selection is at the sole discretion of the LSLIT board of selectors. Their decision will be based on the merits of each application and is final.
3. Successful applicants will be informed via email, and details on redeeming the scholarship will be provided.

Deadline

All applications must be submitted by 31 July of each year. Late submissions will not be entertained.
